Job summary

Marysville Exempted Village School District is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for Regular and Special Education positions in Marysville, Ohio. The role reports to the Principal and is an as-needed substitute position with a daily rate of $125–$135.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child and adolescent development and age-appropriate instructional, classroom-management, and student-support practices.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and provide instruction appropriate to the assigned grade level, subject area, curriculum, and student needs.
• Ability to establish and maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
• Ability to supervise students effectively and respond appropriately to behavioral, safety, health, and emergency situations.
• Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Review and follow the regular teacher’s lesson plans, instructional materials, classroom procedures, and student-support information to the extent possible.
• Provide instruction and learning activities appropriate to the assigned grade level, subject area, and students’ abilities.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment with clear expectations and positive behavior-support strategies.
• Supervise students in the classroom and during assigned duties, including arrival, dismissal, recess, cafeteria, hallway, transportation, field trips, and emergency drills, as applicable.
• Follow building schedules, procedures, emergency plans, and directions provided by the principal or designated school personnel.
