UChicago Medicine is seeking an IMH Advanced Pharmacy Technician at the Harvey Campus to support intravenous homecare patients. You will enter prescriptions, prepare sterile parenteral/enteral medications, assist with inventory and purchasing, and maintain policy-compliant operations under pharmacist supervision.
The role emphasizes aseptic technique, teamwork, and accurate documentation while supporting education of students and staff within the home infusion unit.
Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, Ingalls Memorial, as an IMH Advanced Pharmacy Technician. Responsible for the order entry of prescriptions, preparation of narcotics investigational drugs and other home infusion medications, pharmacy purchasing and inventory control, disposable supplies and related activities under the direction of a pharmacist for intravenous homecare patients. Assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of safe, accurate, and timely medication distribution and reliable pharmaceutical care.
In this role, we anticipate that you will generally work approximately 40 hours per week. We anticipate that you will generally be scheduled to work the evening shift, between the hours of 12pm - 8:30pm and will not be scheduled for on-call shifts. We anticipate you will be scheduled to work 100% at the Harvey Campus. The days of the week are Monday through Friday. This is subject to change.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
