Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the 7N Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). This is a 16-bed mixed acute unit delivering skilled care in medical-surgical and step-down contexts with opportunities to impact patient outcomes daily.

The role is full-time on a weekend schedule (days or nights) with a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and relocation packages available. BLS is required within 90 days, and Virginia RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• RN degree is required.
• Virginia RN license required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate care and health teaching, promote safety and quality of care.
• Maintain standards of practice, ethics, and professional performance; participate in patient education and discharge planning.
