Froedtert South, Inc. Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, invites you to join the Intermediate Care Unit as a Registered Nurse. You will provide specialized care to higher-acuity patients and work with a collaborative care team to monitor, assess, and adjust treatments.

Ideal candidates hold an ADN, Wisconsin RN licensure, and BLS/CPR certification. The role offers a supportive environment, opportunities for professional growth, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• ADN required; license to practice in Wisconsin or eligibility.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required or eligible to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, individualized nursing care to patients with complex and changing needs.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor patient changes.
• Administer medications and IV therapies according to established standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and ongoing care.
• Promote patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Support the orientation and development of new staff and nursing students.
