Job summary

The RN at St. Joseph Hospital is an essential member of the Patient Care Team, delivering direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process across the unit.

You will delegate tasks as appropriate, supervise where needed, and help maintain a safe environment while educating patients and families and coordinating with other health professionals. Required are an active Maine RN license, BLS, and graduation from an approved nursing program.

Qualifications

• Inpatient behavioral unit nursing skills may be required.
• CPI training is preferred or to be obtained before orientation.
• Current Maine RN license is required to practice.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Graduate of an approved Nursing program is required.

Job Summary

The RN is an essential member of the Patient Care Team responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the unit. The RN delegates those interventions that can be performed by others, supervises as appropriate, assists in maintaining a safe environment for the rendering of effective nursing care, provides education to patients, and families, and collaborates with other health professionals in the planning and management of health care.

Job Requirements

• Basic Dysrhythmia, IV insertion/ care, wound care, PICC lines, and foley care may be some of the skills required in an inpatient behavioral unit.


• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained before completion of orientation


• Current Maine RN license required.


• Basic Life Support certification required.


• Graduate of an approved Nursing program required.

Comp Range

$33.43 - $46.04
