Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking an Emergency Relief Radiology Support Assistant II / Patient Transporter to work 8-12 hour shifts with weekend rotations. Reports to Imaging Supervisor and serves as a patient care team member, transporting imaging patients and assisting with positioning and support as needed.

The role requires scanning patient information, coordinating transports via worklists and patient tracking, and using EMR, PACS, and basic ED monitor functions to ensure safe and effective

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certification.
• Ability to interact effectively with patients, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Greets, receives and transports patients to designated area.
• Assists technologists in preparing for examinations and transfers equipment with care.
• Answers telephones and directs calls within the department and facility.
• Performs data entry into PACS, HIS and RIS systems.
• Order entry and preparation of forms and requisitions.
• Maintains cleanliness and restocks rooms with supplies.
