Job summary

Location: Herrin, IL — Evening shift — Full Time. The Radiology Imaging Technician performs diagnostic radiographic exams and supports smooth operations of the Diagnostic Imaging department while delivering quality patient care and service.

Must have an Associate’s degree in Radiology or Certificate Program with ARRT, IEMA, and BLS certifications. Proficiency with PACS and EMR systems, accurate exposure control, and radiation protection are essential, along with clear communication and equipment

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Radiology or Certificate Program is required.
• ARRT license/certification required; IEMA and BLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic exams.
• Utilizes PACS and EMR systems.
• Maintains appropriate IV and Contrast competency.
• Follows established protocols and procedures for proper patient position, exposure control, and radiation protection.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all involved in the patient care process.
• Cleans and inspects departmental equipment.
• Cleans and stocks Imaging rooms.
