Job summary

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking an Imaging Technologist to join our Radiology team. Responsibilities include performing radiographic exams, verifying orders and patient identity, and preparing patients for procedures.

Must maintain ARRT registration and CPR certification and adhere to radiation safety practices. Full-time position at 0.8 FTE (64 hours per biweekly pay period) with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved radiology school with a certificate or Associate Degree in Radiology.
• Active ARRT (R) registry maintained.
• CPR certification current.
• Understanding and application of radiation protection principles.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic exams on patients of all ages and acuity according to orders and policies.
• Applies age-specific considerations for physical, psychosocial, and intellectual development.
• Confirms patient identity, orders, and obtains clinical history as needed.
• Documents history and procedures for use by licensed practitioners.
• Prepares patient and provides instructions to obtain desired results and reduce anxiety.
• Selects and operates radiographic equipment and accessories for procedures.
