Job summary

Kittitas Valley Healthcare is seeking an MRI Technologist to review imaging requests, verify orders, and perform MRI procedures with a focus on safety and patient care. You will produce high-quality images for radiologists and continue professional development in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The position requires ARRT registration or eligibility with MRI certification within 6 months, JRCERT radiology education, and Washington DOH certification.

Qualifications

  • Current ARRT MRI certification or registry eligible with certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Washington State DOH Radiologic Technologist Certification and BLS required.

The global responsibility of this position and all positions within the department of Imaging Services is to provide quality diagnostic images, comfort, and care for patients and employees at KVH. As a part of this, all employees are responsible for seeking ways to provide input to continuously improve our operation and procedures. The MRI technologist is responsible for reviewing imaging requests for appropriateness, verification of physician orders, and performance of the procedure in a safe, caring and timely manner. In addition, the MRI technologist must consistently produce quality images for the radiologist to interpret and report to the requesting physician. They must maintain a high level of professional expertise and assumes the responsibility for professional growth and development. The art and practice of diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging requires in depth knowledge of human growth, human anatomy and physiology, proper anatomical positioning, normal and abnormal pathology and physiological responses, disabilities, manifestations of diseases and trauma.

What is required...
  • Graduation from a Radiology education program under the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
  • ARRT registration as Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT MRI certification or registry eligible with successful completion of certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Current Washington State DOH Radiologic Technologist Certification
  • Current American Heart Association BLS

  • One years’ experience in MRI
Wage:

Wage range currentlystarts at $48.32/hour and goes up to $73.23/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience. This position may also qualify for an additional 15% premium in lieu of benefits.
