Job summary

Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus in Lafayette, IN, seeks an Imaging Technologist I to perform radiographic procedures and produce high-quality images to assist with diagnoses.

The role includes preliminary image analysis, collaboration with physicians, and training of students and technologists. It requires care for all ages, attention to safety, and patient comfort during procedures.

Qualifications

• Required Certificate in Radiology
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
• Radiography (ARRT-R) Indiana within 180 days
• State Radiographer Operator License - State Licensing Board As required by state
• Radiography/ARRT-R credential compliance within 180 days

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures and ionizing radiation to render optimum images.
• Collaborate with doctors and healthcare professionals to interpret images.
• Assist with training students and technologists; perform injections as required.
• Care for infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients; ensure patient understanding and comfort.
• Maintain timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, and safety in all duties.

The Imaging Technologist I is responsible for performing radiographic procedures, ionizing radiation to render optimum images, which are used to support diagnoses and provide insight into medical issues, concerns or conditions. This position conducts preliminary analysis on images and collaborates with doctors and other Healthcare professionals to interpret images. This position assists with training students and technologists and performs injection procedures. The Imaging Technologist I is required to be qualified to care for infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The Technologist maintains optimum timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety during the execution of duties, and works closely with patients to ensure they understand procedures and are comfortable during procedures.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE (Ask Talent Acquisition Advisor if eligible for Sign-on Bonus)
• 2 x 8hrs + 2 x 12hrs Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon + call rotation -Friday/Monday 12hrs and Sat/Sun 8hrs or
• 4 x 10hrs (variable days M-F) + call rotation
• Assist with ACR, HFAP, ISBOH, IDPH, and IEMA.
• Clean, maintain, and restock inventory in examination rooms.
• Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred Associate's Degree in Radiology
• Required Certificate in Radiology
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
• Radiology Student Permit - Radiology Student Permit As required by state
• State Radiographer Operator License - State Licensing Board As required by state
• Radiography (ARRT-R) - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Indiana within 180 days
