Job summary

KAISER in South San Francisco, CA seeks an Imaging Technician Aide to support patient examinations under physician direction. You will assist with room preparation, vital signs, recordkeeping, and basic imaging support in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Six months or externship experience, or waived per Kaiser standards.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Course of study for Medical Assistants per Medical Board of California.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Able to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.
• Must pass a medical terminology test.
• Able to use a personal computer.
• Willing to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.
• Refer to Position Specifications in the bargaining agreement.

Job Summary:

Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Physician and/or Designee.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Interview patients and measure vital signs and other pertinent information as required by department.




• Records information in patients medical record.




• Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination.




• Inventories, orders and replenishes medical supplies and materials.




• Schedules appointments, performs clinical tasks and completes appropriate forms as required by department.




• Records lab values and other treatment documentation as required by the department.




• May be responsible for cleaning, processing, sterilizing and checking instruments.

• Performs clinical/technical skills specific to the department.




• Performs other related duties as necessary.
