Pardee UNC Health Care seeks a Registered Radiologic Technologist to perform X-ray imaging under supervision, ensuring safe, accurate studies and high-quality images. You will interview patients, select protocols, and verify orders in PACS/EMR.

The role focuses on patient communication, anatomical understanding, and teamwork in the Diagnostic Radiology unit. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, onsite at the PARD RAD location, with 40 hours per week.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Science.
• Registration as Radiologic Technologist from American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists.
• Good understanding of human anatomy - can be established through education or experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting radiology orders.
• Experience working with a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).

Responsabilidades

• Prepares and performs radiological (X-ray) imaging.
• Reads and comprehends imaging order, engaging with physician when order is unclear, complex or warrants deeper review. Selects appropriate scanning protocols and imaging parameters using knowledge of human anatomy.
• Interviews patients to understand risk factors that may warrant a more in-depth examination for safety.
• Guides patients, some distressed, through their examination, applying subject matter expertise and cultural competency to explain the exam. Sets expectations and calms patient for effective imaging.
• Uploads imaging results into PACS. Records information into Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR) system.

Summary:

Using radiological (X-ray) imaging equipment and standards under close to moderate supervision, the Registered Radiological Technologist prepares and performs procedures and tests used to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data. By interviewing and preparing patients with in-depth understanding of the equipment and procedures, this role ensures effective, safe use of this equipment and drives optimal care outcomes.
