Job summary

Anduril Industries in Lexington, MA is seeking a hands-on Test Technician for our R&D Test and Analysis Group. You will build test fixtures, set up instrumentation, run environmental tests, and help transition prototypes into reliable, manufacturable products.

You will work closely with R&D engineers to push next‑generation imaging systems across harsh environments, using DAQ systems, shakers, and climatic chambers.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience (5+ years).
• Hands-on expertise operating and programming electrodynamic shakers and climatic chambers.
• Proficiency with data acquisition (DAQ) systems and test control software; familiarity with VR software or similar dynamic testing platforms.
• Solid understanding of test apparatus: shakers, chambers, power supplies, DMM, etc.
• Strong knowledge of accelerometers and thermocouples and how to mount them for reliable data.
• Disciplined documentation habits—recording conditions, setup, and anomalies in real time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and execute dynamic and climatic tests on items from small electronics to imaging payloads.
• Operate, program and maintain climatic chambers and electrodynamic shakers.
• Perform testing of optical systems and prototype hardware according to procedures and engineering direction.
• Install and route instrumentation such as thermocouples and accelerometers.
• Run DAQ and test-control software to capture and monitor test data.
• Maintain test equipment and tools, ensuring calibration and function.
• Travel to test sites as needed to support DVT and Qualification efforts.
