Job summary

Kodak Alaris Inc. seeks an Imaging Systems Engineer to design, integrate, test, and support imaging hardware subsystems across photo kiosks and related products.

The role spans system architecture, hardware selection, integration, and lifecycle support with strong emphasis on imaging and camera subsystems. In this position you will collaborate with hardware, software, service, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams to translate business needs into practical system solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong systems engineering experience from requirements to lifecycle support.
• Electrical and mechanical subsystem design including power distribution and thermal management.
• Hands-on experience integrating electrical, mechanical, and imaging subsystems in commercial products.
• Proficiency in drawings, schematics, BOMs, and specifications.
• Experience with CAD tools: SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, Altium, AutoCAD.
• Lab equipment proficiency: DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers.
• Hands-on hardware assembly, modification, and troubleshooting.
• Experience debugging system-level integration issues with root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of sensors, cameras, controllers, motors, and related components.
• Strong communication for technical documentation and reports.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet commitments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through product development and lifecycle support.
• Define system requirements and contribute to overall architecture.
• Design and integrate electrical, mechanical, imaging subsystems.
• Develop and validate interfaces, BOMs, and configuration records.
• Evaluate technologies and imaging platforms for performance and scalability.
• Prototype, test, and document system concepts and components.
• Troubleshoot system-level issues using lab equipment and RCA techniques.
• Provide end-to-end design, verification, and sustaining engineering support.
• Document interfaces, specs, and engineering drawings; ensure regulatory readiness.
• Coordinate with suppliers, fabricators, and field teams for deployment.
