Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking an Imaging Support Services Specialist - PRN to manage radiology orders, images, and reports for patient exams.

You will fulfill requests from patients, physicians, and attorneys, securely share images with external institutions, and prepare studies for Radiologist interpretation and clinical conferences.

This role supports overnight ED cases, PET and IR consults, and prepares studies for upcoming OR surgeries.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to type forty (40) words per minute.
• Demonstrated computer skills.
• Previous experience in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to function independently.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a logical manner.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the usage of medical terminology.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Must have an understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Manages radiology orders, images and reports related to patient exams.
• Fulfills requests from patients, physicians and attorneys for radiology images and reports.
• Securely shares patient images with external healthcare institutions.
• Prepares studies for Radiologist interpretation and presentation at clinical conferences.
• Supports the over-read and discrepancies processes for overnight ED cases.
• Gathers and prepares necessary information for PET and IR consults.
• Preps patient studies for upcoming OR surgeries.
