Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Competency in the use of safe patient handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients upon arrival to the Radiology department and facilitates the patient’s department experience.
• Answers all phone calls in a timely and courteous manner, identifying self and unit.
• Verifies completeness of written orders and notifies ordering physicians of inaccuracies.
• Supports Radiologic Technologists in planning and executing routine imaging procedures.
• Prepares patients for basic examinations and diagnostic procedures.
