Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an Imaging Call Center specialist to ensure timely and accurate communication of imaging results. You will coordinate patient care, support radiologists and providers, and help maintain critical results workflows.

The role requires a GED and at least one year of related call center or office experience. This is an on-site position based out of Atlantic Station.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of previous call center, operator, dispatching, or related office experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer, locate, and direct calls to ordering providers when there is an imaging study with a critical result.
• Serve as the first line contact for radiologists, providers, and nursing staff regarding urgent imaging findings.
• Review reports and send proper notification to patients and referring physicians using Epic secure chat, e-fax and in-basket messaging.
• Maintain and manage the critical results tracker to ensure timely communication within required timeframes.
• Verify MRI safety for outpatients with implantable devices through proper interrogation protocols.
• Notify ordering providers when devices fail interrogation to facilitate alternative care planning.
• Work with the Patient Connection Center to ensure timely scheduling of patients' post-device interrogation.
• Request and manage outside imaging for exam correlation using Powershare.
• Perform basic office procedures to support the Imaging Call Center's daily operations.
