Job summary

Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, is seeking an Imaging Student Extern PRN to gain hands-on imaging experience while learning from skilled technologists. You will help prepare patients, transport between areas, set up rooms, and support the care team with clear, compassionate communication.

This extern role requires completion of an associate degree and certifications within timelines; no travel or prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-R Radiography must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, and assisting with positioning; communicate clearly and compassionately.
• Safely transport patients between areas, supporting comfort and emotional needs during procedures.
• Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment.
• Serve as a vital connection between patients, technologists, and the care team by communicating needs and concerns promptly.
• Take ownership of your growth by participating in learning opportunities and following safety and confidentiality standards.
