Job summary

The Radiology Sonographer will work in the Imaging Services Department of Good Samaritan Hospital providing high quality and efficient customer service to patients in this department.

Job duties include treating all customers with respect and in a courteous, professional manner, maintaining privacy and confidentiality, promoting a positive work environment, and providing communication about care, exams, or delays.

Qualifications

• Certified radiology sonographer ARDMS credential required.
• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality in line with patient care standards.
• Strong communication with patients and staff to explain procedures and delays.

Responsibilities

• treat all customers (patients, faculty, staff, etc.) with respect and in a courteous, professional manner
• maintain privacy and confidentiality
• promote a positive work environment
• provide communication regarding all aspects of care, such as explanations of exam or delay in service
• acquire or maintain ARDMS certification to ensure compliance with our ACR accreditation
• maintain required licensing with continuing education and comply with all departmental, state, and federal regulations
• work weekends, holidays, and during times of emergency
• flex as requested to meet overall operational needs of the department, regardless of shift or assignment
