Job summary

UPMC McKeesport is hiring a casual Imaging Services Student Tech to join our team. The role supports imaging procedures and patient care under supervision, with weekend shifts from 11 am to 7:30 pm and potential evening shifts 4 pm to 9 pm. The schedule alternates weekends between CT and Diagnostic imaging.

Qualifications include active 2nd year enrollment in ARRT, ARDMS, CNMT, or NMCTB approved program and BLS/CPR; Act 31/33/34/73 clearances renewed as required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Active 2nd year student in ARRT, ARDMS, CNMT, or NMCTB approved school.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• Act 31, 33, 34, and 73 clearances with renewal.
• Willing to work weekends and evenings and learn imaging protocols.
• Assist Radiologist/Technologist under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist imaging procedures under supervision and follow protocol.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and Quality Control with supervision.
• Assist with contrast setup but not injector loading.
• Obtain quality images following radiation safety standards.
• Assist with positioning and scheduling exams in RIS.
• Maintain proficiency for completed competencies and equipment skills.
