Job summary

Penobscot Valley Hospital is seeking an experienced radiology department leader for a full-time, exempt role. The position includes overseeing radiologic studies, staffing, and QC across the department, with responsibility for scheduling and on-call coverage.

The role also involves equipment management, departmental information organization, and participation in quality improvement and emergency planning. Prior management experience in radiology is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved radiologic technology program and ARRT registered.
• Maine license or eligibility required for radiologic practice.
• Experience in a managerial role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic studies per ARRT standards and oversee QC.
• Lead department staff, scheduling, and on-call coverage.
• Manage equipment, inventory, and department information.
• Develop strategies to increase clinical activity and ensure safety.
• Oversee new equipment evaluation and staff training.
