Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled Image Science Engineer to provide imagery expertise across the TCPED chain, including model development, data simulation, and evaluation of data quality objectives. The role emphasizes modeling, simulation, and analysis of image sensing systems and their outcomes.

Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of relevant experience or a graduate degree with 2+ years, strong Python/MATLAB/C++ skills, and the ability to solve complex problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years of experience with Python, MATLAB, UNIX based scripting, and/or C++ programming.
• Experience in data and problem analysis, creative problem solving and design thinking.

Responsibilities

• Provides image science expertise to conduct image/product quality analysis throughout TCPED chain.
• Assess utility of image processing routines and advanced algorithms operating on today’s baseline and emerging remote sensing systems.
• Investigates, analyzes, and provides solutions to complex problems encountered by engineering services and quality control using standard engineering practices.
