Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR, is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a per diem/day shift. The role involves performing imaging studies per physician orders, using advanced imaging equipment, and applying ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.

The successful candidate will hold an Oregon Radiographer license or temporary license, ARRT certification within 6 months, and BLS (American Heart Association) on hire.

Qualifications

• Oregon Radiographer License upon hire or temporary license upon hire.
• ARRT certification required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS from American Heart Association required upon hire.
• New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging examinations according to physicians' orders, using radiology equipment.
• Maintain ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff.
• Position patients and adjust technique to obtain high-quality images while ensuring patient comfort.
