Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking an experienced CT technologist to join the Radiology unit. This assignment involves performing routine CT exams for ED and IP patients, including trauma panels, on GE CT scanners, with ARRT Radiography certification and CT experience preferred.

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds : 400
• Patient Ratios : Average 180 CT exams per day – 3 scanners
• Unit staffing description-: 2 Techs per scanner-day/ Total 3 techs/overnights
• Type of equipment : GE 512, GE 128, GE 32 slice
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: n/a
• Floating policy: n/a
• Patient Experience requirements: Perform ED and IP only. Compassionate care model.

• Certifications: Joint Commission Accredited.
• CT – ACR accredited

Hiring Profile

Years of Experience Required: At least 1 yr experience in level 1 trauma setting

Requested Skill Set: Ability to operate GE CT equipment independently

Must have :

Advanced skills needed: Ability to perform routine CT exams for all types of ED and IPs.

Procedures performed on unit: Routine CT exams for ED and IPs to include Trauma pan scans, head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, CTA.

Certifications Required: ARRT Radiography required; CT preferred.
