Job summary

IU Health is hiring multiple Imaging Technologists and Radiologic Technologists across Indiana. Roles include both inpatient and outpatient settings, with full-time, part-time, and PRN statuses, and may involve day, evening, night, weekend, and rotating shifts to meet department needs.

Technologists operate imaging equipment, position patients, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required; Advanced Life Support certification may be required for select roles.
• Graduate of an accredited imaging, sonography, cardiovascular technology, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, or related allied health program, as applicable to the position.
• Current certification, registration, or registry eligibility through the appropriate credentialing body (e.g., ARRT, ARDMS, NMTCB, CCI, ARMRIT, ABRET), based on specialty. Candidates who are registry-eligible must obtain required credentials within the timeframe established for the role.
• Current state license or permit, if required for the position.
• Ability to safely operate imaging equipment, maneuver patients, and adapt positioning techniques to meet patient care needs.
• Knowledge of patient care, safety, and quality standards relevant to the assigned imaging specialty.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• 0–1 year of experience required (experience level and modality-specific training may vary by position and location).
• Willingness to float between departments or locations as needed based on business needs and competency, if applicable.

Overview

Part-time and full-time outpatient and inpatient roles are eligible for a $30,000 sign-on bonus.

Summary

We are hiring for multiple Imaging Technologists and Radiologic Technologists opportunities across IU Health facilities statewide in Indiana. Positions may be available at multiple locations, with full-time, part-time, and PRN statuses, and may include day, evening, night, weekend, and rotating shifts, depending on department needs.

Roles include, but are not limited to: CT Technologist, Echo Cardiac Technologist, Interventional Radiology Technologist, Radiology Technologist, Mammography Technologist, MRI Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, PET/CT or MR Technologist, Ultrasound Technologist, Ultrasound MFM Technologist, and Ultrasound Vascular Technologist.

Imaging roles operate imaging equipment and perform diagnostic procedures within their designated specialty and scope of practice. Depending on role, training, credentials, and departmental needs, responsibilities may include working with a variety of imaging modalities and technologies, such as X-ray, fluoroscopy, portable imaging, CT, MRI, mammography, interventional radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, PET/CT, and other advanced imaging systems.

The technologist prepares and positions patients, explains examinations, collaborates with radiologists and referring providers, and ensures high-quality diagnostic imaging while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality. The role requires adherence to radiation safety standards, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR), ongoing professional development, and participation in minimally invasive or image-guided procedures as applicable.
