Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Lead X-Ray Technologist to oversee imaging operations, ensure quality diagnostics and patient safety across sites. The role includes supervising staff, coordinating PTO, and collaborating with radiologists on procedures.

Ideal candidates bring ARRT/ARDMS/ARMRT certifications, BLS, and 1–2 years of radiology experience, with license required by the NJ radiology board. Schedule includes weekdays with weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a vocational/technical school required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• 1-2 years radiology tech experience required.
• 2-4 years preferred.
• ARRT/ARDMS/ARMRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• NJ Bureau of Radiological Health license required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain staffing levels and PTO coordination with chief tech.
• Direct daily radiology operations at designated site.
• Provide leadership, training and support for the department.
• Ensure patient safety and high-quality diagnostic imaging.
• Coordinate equipment service and QA/QC activities.
• Assist Radiologist with procedures and contrast administration.
• Oversee student training at the site.
