Requirements

• Current License in good standing
• Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials
• Eighteen months of Special Procedures/Interventional experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Duties & Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Interventional Radiology Tech is to assist with patient care in the Interventional Radiology Department by providing technical support to the IR team.

• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
• Operate conventional, fluoroscopic, or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders.
• Assist the physician with diagnostic and interventional procedures by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response, maintaining sterile field, and interpreting diagnostic data.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
• Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care professionally.
• Maintain an environment focused on excellence, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care.
• Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.
