HUMBLE VASCULAR SURGICAL CENTER INC in Post Falls, Idaho is seeking a detail-oriented Imaging Coordinator to join the Imaging Team. In this role, you will be responsible for patient registration, preparing paperwork, and collaborating with clinical staff for patient education.

Overview

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, customer service focused, Imaging Coordinator to join the Imaging Team!

In this role you will be responsible for registration and pre-registration of patients, prepare pre-registration packets, call patients for preregistration notice, collect co-payments and account payments, register patients and update medical records as needed, enter and retrieve information from ITS and PACs; prepare and present the paperwork for clinical procedures done in Imaging. You will work closely with clinical staff to provide patients with screening and procedure education, monitor PACs for STAT preliminary reports and critical findings and facilitate the communication of that information, back up all incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department. You will need to project a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of patients, coworkers and Northwest Specialty Hospital as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Register and pre-register patients and prepare associated paperwork
  • Prepare pre-registration packets and call patients for preregistration notices
  • Collect co-payments and account payments and update patient accounts
  • Register patients and update medical records as needed
  • Enter and retrieve information from ITS and PACs
  • Prepare and present paperwork for clinical procedures in Imaging
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to provide patient education on screening and procedures
  • Monitor PACs for STAT preliminary reports and critical findings and facilitate communication of that information
  • Back up incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department
  • Maintain professional demeanor and confidentiality of patients, coworkers, and the hospital
Qualifications and Preferred Experience
  • High school diploma required
  • One year of prior clerical experience in a medical setting strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to build relationships with physicians or their support staff
  • Knowledge of insurer and payer processes
  • CPR/BLS or obtained within the first ninety days of hire
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 codes and medical terminology preferred
