Dent Neurologic Institute in Amherst, NY is looking for an Insurance Authorization Specialist- Imaging. This full-time position handles pre-authorizations and coordinates with patients and insurance providers to ensure smooth billing processes.

Responsibilities include clerical duties for pre-authorizations, verifying demographics and current insurance, obtaining consent to treat, and maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities

• Completes clerical work to obtain pre-authorizations, as needed, prior to patient’s appointment.
• Provides back-up to Reception as needed; verifies patient demographics including name, address, date-of-birth, phone number, primary and referring physician and current insurance, and obtains patient consent to treat to ensure accurate billing.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of patient information.
