Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a PRN Imaging Support role to observe and assist across Imaging areas including x-ray and ED departments. Training is Monday–Friday 6am–2:30pm for two weeks.

The role involves transporting patients, stocking supplies, and ensuring safety and compliance with HIPAA and Joint Commission standards. Qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within three months of hire.

• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transports bed, stretcher, and wheelchair patients in a safe, professional manner, following HIPPA and handoff compliance.
• Maintains O2/suction supplies as required per facility.
• Reports faulty equipment, hazardous conditions and/or incidents to supervisor for follow up.
• Uses radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
• Picks up and delivers requisitions, specimens, and other materials within the facility.
• Stocking and cleaning of rooms; puts away supplies correctly.
• Delivers mail interdepartmentally as needed.

Schedule: PRN - as needed

Training Schedule is Monday-Friday from 6am-2:30pm for 2 weeks

This role will be helping in the x-ray department and the ED department, CT when needed

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Transports bed, stretcher, and wheelchair patients in a safe, professional manner, following HIPPA and handoff compliance.
• Uses double identifiers on every patient per The Joint Commission regulations for patient safety.
• Orders and receives weekly radiology supplies.
• Picks up and delivers requisitions, specimens, and other materials within the facility.
• Assists with stocking and cleaning of rooms, puts away supplies correctly.
• Reports faulty equipment, hazardous conditions and/or incidents to supervisor for follow up.
• Returns equipment to designated storage area and maintains transport equipment. Cleans, deodorizes, and disinfects equipment as needed.
• Maintains O2/suction supplies as required per facility.
• Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
• Delivers mail interdepartmentally as needed.
• Adheres to Orlando Health’s mission statement and strategic imperatives.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures, department guidelines, and education requirements.

Other Related Functions

• Attends meetings and in-services as required.
• Maintains knowledge and skill level necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients age and status.
• Responsible for professional growth.

Qualifications
