Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a scheduling professional to support outpatient imaging services in Los Angeles. Under supervision, you will organize and prioritize scheduling, collect necessary clinical information, and screen exams for appropriateness.

You will work closely with radiologists, nurses, technologists, physicians, and patients to maintain smooth flow and minimal wait times. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with one year of hospital or outpatient

What will you be doing in this role?

Under general supervision, is responsible for all aspects of scheduling Imaging outpatients. The scheduler is expected to organize, prioritize and perform work in a timely and efficient manner, within established guides, practices and procedures. The scheduler obtains clinical information and screens for exam appropriateness. Interacts with the Radiologists, nurses or technologists when necessary. The scheduler interacts with physicians, office staff and patients, in a courteous and professional manner, with a focus on keeping waits and delays at a minimum.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma/GED - minimum
• Assoc. Degree/College Diploma Two years of college studies with emphasis in medical field or science preferred. - preferred

Experience

• 1 year At least 1 year of scheduling experience in a hospital or outpatient setting. - minimum

Licenses and Certifications

• No license or certification required
