Job summary

micro1 is seeking Imagery Analysts to contribute to a high-impact AI/ML training data project using drone and maritime sensor imagery. Analysts will review machine-generated bounding boxes, annotate objects, and ensure consistency with project guidelines.

Work is contractor-based and remote (US-only). Candidates should have experience in data labeling or bounding box annotation, and be comfortable delivering labeled imagery within secure environments.

Qualifications

Imagery Analyst - AI/ML Training Data

micro1 is engaging Imagery Analysts to contribute to a high-impact project centered on drone and maritime sensor imagery. Experts will review and refine machine-generated bounding boxes, identify objects missed by AI models, annotate imagery according to detailed guidelines, and provide high-quality training data for next-generation AI systems. The role may transition to video-frame annotation as the project expands.

Experience

Experience with data labeling, bounding box annotation, or similar data-preparation activities, preferably in high-volume, quality-controlled annotation environments involving aerial, maritime, robotics, autonomous systems, or sensor imagery.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC), or willingness to engage in the sponsorship process.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and consistency when performing repetitive, accuracy-critical tasks.
• Experience with data labeling, bounding box annotation, or similar data-preparation activities.
• Familiarity with aerial, maritime, or sensor-based imagery, particularly daylight and thermal formats, is preferred.
• Experience in high-volume, quality-controlled annotation environments is preferred.
• Robotics or autonomous-system data-labeling experience is a plus.
• Comfort using dedicated software tools for labeling and willingness to learn new applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and clarifying labeling requirements.
