Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a biomedical scientist to perform digital pathology image analysis and data interpretation. You will support end-to-end histopathology studies for collaborators and clients, using Indica Labs software for annotations and algorithm training.

The role requires 1 year of relevant image analysis experience, histology knowledge, and the ability to present findings to scientific audiences. Some international travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant biomedical science discipline.
  • Knowledge of histology and histopathology.
  • Experience with image analysis software for digital pathology.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or applicable work authorization.
  • Will travel internationally and possess a valid passport.
  • 1 year of image analysis or digital pathology experience.
  • Experience with cancer or immunology histopathology is preferred.
  • Ability to present to scientific audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively; basic IT skills.
  • Strong data presentation and critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scientific analysis on digital pathology images with data presentation to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to end-to-end histopathology image analysis studies with collaborators and clients.
  • Conduct image analysis and QC using Indica Labs software, including annotations and training.
  • Maintain regular status communications with collaborators, clients and the Indica team.
  • Prepare study reports and present results, data and findings.
  • Access and handle PHI per policy and HIPAA.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Perform scientific analysis on digital pathology images with appropriate presentation of key data to stakeholders
  • Contribute to end-to-end histo-pathology image analysis studies on projects involving Indica Labs’ collaborators and clients
  • Conduct image analysis and quality control tasks using Indica Lab’s suite of software on digital pathology images, including image annotations, image analysis algorithm training and data analysis
  • Maintain regular status communications with collaborators, clients and the Indica team throughout a study’s execution
  • Prepare study reports for internal and external projects and present results, data, and findings
  • Access and handle electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) as outlined by policy and HIPAA
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant biomedical science discipline
  • Good knowledge of histology and histopathology
  • Basic knowledge of working with image analysis software designed to analyze digital pathology samples
  • Authorization to work in the United States, or appropriate authorization to work in the applicant’s current home country
  • Valid passport for international travel and willingness to travel internationally
  • 1 year experience in image analysis or digital pathology
  • 1 year working experience with cancer or immunology histopathology
  • Ability to deliver presentations to small and large scientific audiences
  • Ability to work collaborativelyBasic skills in Information Technology (IT) and network knowledge
  • Ability to provide complex data in an easy-to-understand format
  • Critical thinking skills
