Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation seeks a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to join the Robotics Team at the Dallas/Fort Worth facility. You will assemble, install and validate automated equipment, including robotic arms and tooling, while aligning with project engineers to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Responsibilities include startup, commissioning support, calibration, and field service at customer sites as needed, with travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with mechanical assembly and manufacturing.
• Experience with industrial robots and controllers is a strong plus.
• Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment a plus.
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic system troubleshooting.
• Ability to read mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Ability to read equipment installation drawings and execute to print.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to learn new technologies including electrical schematic reading and basic electrical terminations.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and listening skills.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.
• Self-motivated.

• Performs factory startup and validations of industrial robotic arms and end of arm tooling.
• Interfaces closely with project engineers receiving design instruction and providing feedback to engineers about the designs.
• Works with project team providing necessary support during factory commissioning, testing, and debug.
• Services, calibrates and troubleshoots automation equipment in the Daifuku Factory and, occasionally at customer sites.
• Travels as needed to customer sites.
• Supports warehouse coordinator as needed performing material management activities.

Individuals in this role will have primary responsibility for various pre-assembly and factory installation activities related to automation solutions, including industrial robot systems. Daifuku provided material handling solutions require a cohesive team effort inclusive of various disciplines, such as mechantronic assembly, mechanical engineering, electrical/controls engineering, industrial engineering, software, and project management. As part of the Robotics Team, Mechatronics & Robotics Technicians will support implementation of designed solutions that satisfy customer requirements for safety, functionality, reliability, throughput, and expense.
