Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America is seeking an Automation Tech II to diagnose and repair electro-mechanical issues on automated material handling systems. You will perform on-site setup, programming, and customer training with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include advanced troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical defects, PLC debugging, documentation, and coordination with customers to ensure complete resolution while following safety programs.

Qualifications

• 2 years in material handling preferred or equivalent
• CMMS experience a plus
• 2 years industry experience or equivalent
• Familiarity with material handling equipment and PLCs
• Familiarity with material handling equipment and knowledge of function
• Working knowledge of handheld and power tools
• Basic knowledge of PLCs and motor control
• Advanced ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, moderate electrical, and controls defects
• Advanced ability to interpret both mechanical and electric drawings and schematics
• Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented
• Knowledge of safe industrial work practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service orientation
• Ability to work in and contribute to a team setting
• Intermediate computer skills including MS Office
• Follow maintenance manuals and procedures to repair equipment
• Ability to guide and teach Automation Tech I
• Support SOP creation and technical documentation
• Ability to assist in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all material handling equipment and components a plus
• Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language

Position Summary

The Automation Tech II works with minimal supervision to resolve electro-mechanical issues and equipment errors on automated material handling systems and related equipment and perform repair and preventive maintenance. Performs on-site set-up, programming, and customer training.

Hourly Rate: $30.00-$38.00
