TopDog Law is seeking a Managing Attorney for the Illinois market. You will own the business from signed cases through final resolution with real authority and accountability, supported by our technology and centralized services.

You will lead litigation strategy, manage a team, and drive settlements within a 60–90 day window, while shaping state culture and growth. This is a fully remote role emphasizing ownership and performance.

Qualifications

• Active bar admission in Illinois
• 7–10 years of plaintiff personal injury experience
• Experience handling cases from inception through trial and resolution
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
• Strong litigation skills: depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial
• Experience handling motor vehicle and premises liability matters
• Business mindset with comfort owning P&L, metrics and operational accountability

Responsibilities

• Own the state P&L and align costs with growth
• Oversee case outcomes from pre-suit to closure
• Lead litigation strategy for Illinois and take complex cases to trial when appropriate
• Drive settlement performance within a 60–90 day window
• Recruit and develop attorneys, paralegals, case managers and support staff
• Execute firm-wide standards while adapting to state market needs
• Ensure full legal, ethical, and compliance oversight
• Report to the COO with KPI updates and state performance data
