Job summary

Winbond is seeking an experienced engineer to drive cybersecurity and functional safety readiness across products. You will support qualification activities with external labs and help customers meet relevant certifications, leveraging deep firmware and security expertise.

The role emphasizes conformity work, secure architecture design, and cross-border customer support to ensure regulatory compliance in automotive and IoT ecosystems.

Qualifications

• BSc/ MSc in EE/CS or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in embedded/firmware or security/safety engineering.
• Delivery experience for compliance work products.
• Knowledge of secure architectures and cybersecurity/safety standards.

Job description

Owner of turnkey technical and compliance kits including reference software, test assets, and full conformance documentation for product cybersecurity and automotive functional safety.

• Drive end-to-end technical readiness for cybersecurity and functional safety regulations across company products.
• Provide technical support for qualification and certification with external labs, working closely with theCertification and Qualification Lead.
• Provide support to customers in meeting cybersecurity and automotive functional safety certifications.

Key Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in EE/CS (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years in embedded/firmware or security/safety engineering with demonstrated delivery of compliance work products.
• Strong systems view of secure architectures (secure boot, key management, secure software updates, attestation, etc)
• Excellent technical writing (Safety Manual, cybersecurity case, test reports) and stakeholder communication (customers, labs).
• Practical experience in supporting worldwide customers.
• Practical experience inpreparing conformity for cybersecurity or functional safety regulations.
• Preferred – familiar with at least one of thefollowing regulations: ISO26262, EN 18031, IEC62443, ISO21434,or Common Criteria
• Preferred – familiar with functional safety architectures (ECC, CRC, error detection, watchdogs, etc)
