Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America is seeking a Float Specialist - In-Home Services to support individuals in residential group homes across the Twin Cities and Central Minnesota. This role requires morning to evening availability Monday through Friday and occasional weekends, with duties focused on helping residents gain independence.

You will assist with daily activities, meals, planning, budgeting, and mobility while administering medications and promoting safety.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• Proficient in spoken and written English language
• Comfortable providing personal cares (including but not limited to: bathroom supports, bathing/showering, medication administration)
• Successful clearance of Department of Human Services background check
• Successful clearance of Motor Vehicle Background Check and acceptable driving record per Company Policy

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily activities to achieve personalized outcomes in residential group homes.
• Focus on increasing independence in skills, such as learning about community resources, finding hobbies, and working on personal cares, meal preparation, planning, or budgeting.
• Administer medications and assist with daily personal care needs.
• Perform cooking, cleaning, and other housekeeping duties as needed.
• Assist individuals in achieving their personal goals and support them in their daily routines.
• Work with individuals displaying challenging behaviors, including verbal and physical aggression.
• Adapt to each person’s unique needs and preferences, tailoring services accordingly.
• Provide support in areas of communication, personal hygiene, and basic living skills.

Job Title: Float Specialist - In-Home Services

Location: Areas across the Twin Cities and Central Minnesotaas needed to support person served

Schedule: Monday-Friday with availability between the hours of 9:00AM and 7:00PM based on the needs of those we serve. Occasional weekend scheduling possible based on the needs of the Program.

Wage: $20.00 per hour including Full-Time benefits

Preferred Experience:

• At least 2 years supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and/or mental health diagnosis
• At least 2 years working with individuals with verbal and physical aggressions
• Experience implementing Emergency Use of Manuel Restraints (applicable at select programs)
