Total Safety is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Specialist in Sulphur, LA to monitor client employees and contractors for chemical and physical stressors using IH sampling equipment. You will perform workplace exposure assessments, rank agents and develop sampling plans, and recommend controls.
BS in safety or industrial hygiene plus 2–5 years IH field experience (oil/gas a plus) are preferred. Licensure exams (GSP/ASP/CIH/CHMM) or willingness to pursue are encouraged. Equal Opportunity Employer.

The Industrial Hygiene Specialist is a safety and health generalist who monitors client employees and contractors for physical and chemical stressors. The IH Specialist utilizes various pieces of sampling equipment to monitor for noise, chemicals, radioactive materials and airborne solid contaminants. The IH Specialist has the knowledge and skills to perform a workplace exposure assessment to evaluate the agents, rank them and develop an IH sampling plan. The IH Specialist can recognize hazards, evaluate them and recommend control measures.
