Job summary

A leading technology firm is seeking an Ignition Engineer to join their innovative engineering group in Evansville, Indiana. In this contract role, you will focus on the installation, configuration, and optimization of Ignition SCADA systems. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Ignition Gateway Development, IIoT networking, and will also possess experience in C#/.NET. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $50 to $60 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience with installation and configuration of Ignition SCADA systems.
• Proficiency in identifying and implementing drivers for PLC data ingestion.
• Strong understanding of IIoT networking, including firewalls.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET with experience replicating functionality from Rockwell product suites.
• Knowledge of data formats such as MQTT for systems integration.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues related to data ingestion and egress.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and optimize Ignition systems, including the gateway and core modules.
• Manage firewall configurations and ensure secure data exchange.
• Help replicate and enhance existing FactoryTalk View systems within Ignition Perspective.
• Collaborate with integration partners and troubleshoot performance issues.
