Job summary

Ergon Refining, Inc. seeks an IEC Tech I to support the IEC Maintenance Department in the Vicksburg, MS refinery/terminal environment. You will assist in repair, installation, and calibration of IEC equipment and contribute to safe, reliable plant operations.

This entry-level position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and completion of an FCE. It offers benefits and opportunities for growth within a relationship-driven company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• IEC Helper qualifications expected or relevant.
• Strong communication skills recommended.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass Functional Job Capacity Evaluation (FCE).

Responsibilities

• Must successfully complete Emergency Response Training and perform duties as assigned.
• Keep safe work habits as the highest priority at all times.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace at all times.
• Strive to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers and associates.
• Assist in preventive maintenance on IEC equipment.
• Assist in repair and maintenance of steam systems.
• Assist in installation of conduit and wiring.
• Assist in installation and repair of electric heat tracing.
• Assist in installation and maintenance of instrument tubing.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of control valves, regulators, heater control panels, motor controls, transmitters and other IEC equipment.

This is a support position to the IEC Maintenance Department. The IEC Tech I provides support for the repair, installation, and calibration of refinery and terminal IEC equipment and for other activities that involve the IEC Maintenance Department.

Position Qualifications

• This requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and meeting or exceeding IEC Helper qualifications.
• Strong communication skills recommended.
• A valid driver's license must be maintained.
