Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking an I&E Planner to join our Project Controls Team in Houston, TX, with placement at a jobsite in Alvin, TX or nearby. You will plan maintenance, turnarounds or small capital projects, develop work plans, estimate labor hours, and prepare job packages while coordinating with multiple disciplines.

The role requires experience with electrical systems, pneumatics, DCS, instrumentation and control components; strong MS Office and ERP familiarity; and a focus on safety,

Qualifications

• Two years of field planning experience in industrial maintenance, capital projects, outages or turnarounds.
• Four years of mechanical craft experience at a jobsite or a BS degree in related field.
• NCCER certification or foreman is a beneficial extra.
• Develop job plans, estimate time/resources, and assist with scheduling.
• Proficient with MS Office and planning software (Turner's WinTake/QuickPlan/Win PCS).
• Strong communication, safety, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review specs/drawings to determine scope and prepare takeoffs for estimates.
• Estimate labor hours, material and sub-contractors; create work plans and packages.
• Collaborate with SMEs; develop job steps, craft breakdowns and man-hours.
• Assist with planning/scheduling for plant turnarounds and equipment overhauls.
• Document change orders and deviations; use ERP for planning and tracking.
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
