Job summary

Greenberg Traurig, LLP is seeking an Identity & Security Engineer to architect and monitor core identity services across Microsoft cloud ecosystems with AWS/GCP exposure. You will lead design of secure authentication, implement automation, and guide identity governance in a hybrid, multi-office setup.

The role requires strong problem-solving, cross-team collaboration, and the ability to work on-call. A Bachelor's in a related field and 8+ years in enterprise IAM is preferred.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in AD DS, Entra ID, ADCS, and SSO.
• Expert knowledge of identity and access management and RBAC.
• Expertise designing and engineering federation and MFA solutions.
• Expertise in authentication protocols (Kerberos, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC).
• Good working knowledge of PKI and certificate lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust security principles.
• Experience with Windows operating systems.
• Experience with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Advanced automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Graph API, Python, Terraform).
• Experience with ITDR platforms and SIEM tools.
• Familiarity with AWS and GCP is a plus.
• Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, optimizes, and maintains enterprise identity platforms (e.g. AD DS, Entra ID, SSO, MFA).
• Architects secure identity frameworks across on-prem and cloud environments (RBAC, JIT, conditional access).
• Define and improve identity role design to reduce over-privilege.
• Establish governance for non-human identities and guardrails for credentials.
• Build integrations between identity platforms and business systems.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, DevOps to ensure secure identity practices.
• Lead PKI design, hardening, and certificate-based auth.
• Deploy and maintain vendor remote access and PAM systems.
• Engineer detection, monitoring, and auditing capabilities for identity.
• Lead incident response for identity threats using ITDR/EDR/SIEM and playbooks.
• Partner with security on identity threat detection and response.
• Provide Tier 3 escalation support and root cause analysis.
• Implement security configurations to protect on-prem and cloud platforms.
• Develop automation frameworks and infrastructure-as-code.
• Design controls and evidence collection for compliance; lead project delivery.
