Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Identity Platform Administrator to support and enhance enterprise IAM and federation services in a US-based environment. You will monitor authentication systems, troubleshoot SSO/federation issues, and help maintain MFA and password-less auth.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, compliant, highly available identity platforms and facilitate user lifecycle management and service automation.

Qualifications

• Experience administering identity platforms such as PingFederate, Okta, or Entra ID in an enterprise operations environment.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
• Experience troubleshooting SAML, OAuth, and OIDC integrations, token exchanges, assertion mismatches, and federation connectivity issues.
• Experience using Java, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, or Groovy for operational tasks, automation, and maintenance.
• Experience with system monitoring, operational documentation, patching, and maintenance procedures for IAM services.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs
• Experience supporting integrations and synchronization with Active Directory (AD) or LDAP environments
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architectures
• Experience supporting multifactor authentication (MFA) and password-less authentication solutions
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex identity and federation operational issues in production environments

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing operations, maintenance, sustainment, and troubleshooting of enterprise IAM and federation services
• Monitor identity systems and maintain authentication and access management services
• Troubleshoot SSO and federation issues, including token exchanges, assertion mismatches, and connectivity problems
• Maintain MFA and password-less authentication capabilities
• Support user lifecycle management processes
• Apply patches and configuration updates
• Assist with operational automation and service improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, system administrators, network engineers, and mission stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and standards
• Sustain reliable, secure, highly available, and operationally ready identity platforms
