Identity and Access Management Engineer

As an Identity and Access Management Engineer, you play a critical role in ensuring that no user, device, or workload is implicitly trusted—and that every access decision strengthens the mission against evolving threats. You are the front line in protecting identities and securing our clients’ most valuable assets.

Responsibilities
  • Support large‑scale IAM projects for our clients.
  • Interface with stakeholders and engineering teams to determine critical processes and user roles.
  • Analyze the identity lifecycle, articulate access requirements, and define enterprise identity records.
  • Design, deploy, and support systems that verify appropriate user privileges and manage credentials.
  • Implement enterprise‑class solutions ranging from single sign‑on to privileged access systems.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with engineering IAM systems
  • 5+ years of experience with delivering large‑scale access management solutions
  • Knowledge of emerging authentication, authorization, and privilege access management technologies and protocols
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor'sdegree
  • Security+ Certification
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management platforms, including IBM Verify or Microsoft Entra ID
  • Experience with software development and working in an agile delivery team
  • Experience with presenting technical briefs to senior leadership
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Directory architecture
  • Knowledge of various Access Control Frameworks, including NIST 800‑63
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Clearance

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
