Job summary

RWC International is seeking a Mobile Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on commercial vehicles, sometimes on the go, at customer locations or roadside. A valid driver’s license is required; CDL is a bonus.

You will read job orders, follow checklists, test-drive vehicles, and maintain safety and quality while building strong customer relationships with high service standards.

Qualifications

• Wheel-end and brake replacement for air, air disc and hydraulic brake systems.
• Basic electrical and air system diagnostic and repair skills.
• Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer.
• Must conduct self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication.
• At least 5 years of heavy-duty experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to resolve malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Follow checklists ensuring all critical parts are examined.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed.
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly.
• Tag all warranty parts and returns to the warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and keep tabs on factory technical bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships to increase overall customer satisfaction.
• Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by supervisor.
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
• Participate in, and utilize to the best of one’s abilities, technical training as assigned by management.
• Ensure customer vehicles are returned as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
• Show the utmost courtesy to all guests, visitors, and dealership personnel.
• Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management.
• Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and/or management
• Able to work outside if necessary

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Idealease FleetTechnician position is charged with performing truck maintenance, diagnostics and repairs of commercial vehicles and associated components for all makes and models –Sometimes on the go! This premium customer service may take place on the road, at the customer location, or just about anywhere. Valid Drivers’ license required; CDL license a bonus.

Salary range for a Mobile Technician (depending on experience level) from $65,000 to $150,000. (Extra $$ forCDL holders)

ACTIVITY AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Employee safety is a prime concern of RWC. This position is a safety-sensitive position and falls under the requirements of the RWC Drug and Alcohol policy.

• Cummins Insight knowledge needed, International and Detroit knowledge helpful
• Basic electrical and air systemdiagnostic and repair skills needed
• Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer.
• Must be self-motivated and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must conduct his/herself in a professional manner
• At least 5 years of heavy-duty experience

Must be able to successfully pass a background check and a pre-hire drug and alcohol test.
