Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Coraopolis, PA to provide individualized care for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in our community-based services. Responsibilities include supporting activities of daily living, guiding residents in leisure and day programming, and helping maintain a clean living environment.

Shifts include Evenings, Overnights and Weekends, with supervision by the House Manager.

Qualifications

• Related experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Providing individualized care, activities of daily living, including proper maintenance of living area.
• Guiding residents in leisure activities, work and day programming.
• All chores necessary to maintain as normal a living environment as possible, e.g., laundry and housekeeping.
• Work is performed under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents' responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports and periodic meetings.
• Staff will be required to follow a designated shift routine and assignments as outlined by the House Manager.
