Job summary

FRIENDS of Broomfield is seeking staff for the Day Program to support adults with IDD in building skills and independence. You will assist with daily living activities, health and safety, and participate in community-based activities in our state-of-the-art facility.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Pay ranges from $19.00 to $23.00 per hour depending on experience; benefits include health, vision and dental insurance, 401(k) retirement, PTO, sick days, holidays, and paid training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years of college preferred.
• At least 1 year experience working with adults with IDD.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals obtain and maintain daily living skills and foster independence.
• Provide services and support for activities of daily living, toileting and feeding.
• Provide hands-on support for therapeutic activities.
• Work with individuals in small groups to develop skills and engage in activities.
• Ensure health, safety and welfare of people according to procedures and plans.
• Develop relationships with community members through activities and classes.
• Complete daily documentation and progress notes using Therap.
