Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Phoenix Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center is seeking an ICU Veterinary Technician to join our team. We offer a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 based on experience and a path toward professional growth in a fast-paced, 24/7 emergency setting.

The role focuses on dedicated patient care, ICU procedures, and collaboration with a board-certified surgeon and internist to deliver exceptional veterinary services to patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Must have ICU experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by determining animal requirements and performing examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Assist during surgery and anesthesia; provide nursing care and monitor patients.
• Maintain patient medical records and treatment documentation.
• Obtain and verify medications; manage medication administration and controlled drugs as directed.
• Communicate with pet owners about patient status per veterinarian instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and work areas; ensure patient safety.
