Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for ICU in Oakland, MD. This assignment requires an active RN license, a nursing degree, BLS & ACLS, and 18 months of recent Acute Care ICU experience. Duration is 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, nights (12-hour shifts).

Travel compensation includes weekly pay, housing or housing allowance, and credentialing fee coverage. Employment type is Travel with benefits and company support throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS & ACLS certification.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and family education.
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment (ventilators, tubes).
• Monitor vital signs and detect signs of distress.
• Administer medications and insert IVs/catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures to control changes in condition.
• Perform CPR accurately and effectively.
